Paul was born Feb. 21, 1929, in Farrell, a son to Paul Joseph Varga Sr. and Anna (Murcko) Varga. He was proud to serve our country in the Army during the Korean conflict. His citations included Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, Sharp Shooter Badge with Rifle Bar, and Distinguished Unit Citation.
Following his return home, he worked as a self-employed bricklayer for 50-plus years. Paul was baptized Catholic and enjoyed going to Sunday breakfast with his buddies, farming, going to car show "cruise-ins," cooking and baking, and riding his Harleys.
